Things you could do to prevent Diabetes.
Diabetes is a silent killer disease. Most people haven't realized that yet.
It causes about 10-30% reduction in life expectancy!!!
It's the most common cause of blindness in age group 20-65 years.!!!!
About 1000 patients per annum reach end stage renal failure!!!!!
So now when was the last time you checked your blood sugar level??? Did I hear you say never!! oops! your bad.
I would advise, you check your blood sugar regularly,at least twice a year if you don't have a family history of the disease, but if you got a family history of it, you gotta check it more often. Below are measures you could take to reduce the risk of embracing this disease...
1. No more soft drinks
2. Reduce your alcohol intake
3. No smoking
4. Eat more of fruits and Vegetables
5. Avoid flour
6. Wheat is a good meal for you.
7. Avoid White Sugar like a Leper, pure Honey is better
8. Dude you gotta reduce your salt intake. Oh yeah!!!
9. Physical inactivity and obesity exacerbates Insulin resistance which is a major cause of diabetes. Endeavour to exercise regularly at least 30 minutes daily. It could be a 30 minutes walk, gardening,yeah yeah!!
10. Crucify fast foods!!!!
